We have confirmed five Bacillus anthracis strains, Cheju, Bongchun, Kyungjoo, and Honsgung isolated in Korea. These strains have been revealed to possess toxins and capsule, and to have a great homology of their morphological, physiological and
biochemical properties against B. anthracis type strain A70. These strains were identified as B. anthracis due to the pathogenicity against to mice and quinea-pigs. These strains were recognized as B. anthracis antigens by the antibody of Pasteur
